Quality assurance equipped for the future
In production, manufacturing and quality assurance are moving closer together. Modern and future-oriented quality management therefore needs software solutions for the intuitive and fast evaluation and documentation of measurement results. Wireless technologies that allow convenient and secure transmission of measurement data also play a key role in the QA of the future.
At Control 2018 in Stuttgart, Mahr uses several examples to show how companies can increase the efficiency of their quality assurance through the interplay of high-quality measurement technology and innovative software.
Example 1: Electrical length measurement
With MarWin Millimar Cockpit, Mahr has supplemented the Millimar program for electrical length measurement with innovative software for data evaluation and documentation. Hardware and software are optimally matched so that a smooth transfer of measurement data to the PC is possible. By evaluating with Millimar Cockpit, companies gain valuable information about the quality of their products directly from production.
Example 2: Testing rotationally symmetrical workpieces
If timely statements about the production quality are necessary, it makes sense to use measuring technology directly in the production environment. The manual shaft measuring station MarShaft MAN provides information in a matter of seconds as to whether workpieces were produced within the tolerances. The associated software MarWin EasyShaft MAN also allows users without programming knowledge to work simply and reliably with the system: numerous functions are already preprogrammed and stored in the software. To create a new measurement program, these are selected one after the other. The resulting measurement sequence is then saved and will be available for re-use in the future.
